Every fourth weekend in April, thousands of young people around the world get involved in activities that improve their communities. Service has the power to change the world, and when youth plan and lead thoughtful, impactful projects, service does change the world!  

Young people ages 5 to 25 and other community residents were invited to join TCYSB in promoting this global culture of engaged youth who are committed to a lifetime of service, learning, leadership, and achievement.

It was raining all day, but that did not stop most of the volunteers to participate.

 Our activities were 

Charles County: 10:00am to 2:00pm (301-645-1837)  Community Garden Project at 75 Industrial Park Drive – in conjunction with Steam-Onward and Comcast Cares. go to the  pictures here

“Shoebox” care packages for overseas troops: Fenwick Landing Assisted Living, Dagsboro location (2:15pm-4:00pm)


Calvert County: 9:00am to 3:00pm (443-975-7989)  Building of “Free Lending Libraries” at 3695 Hallowing Point Road, Prince Frederick, MD 20678 to increase access to books
